Zelalem “Zee” Ebert is 11. He practices Jediism (and he loves Star Wars). Jedi are mindful of negative emotions which lead to the Dark Side, they are also guardians of peace and justice. Zee has studied many religions and can recite almost any history book. He says his mind works like a recycling bin that can reuse information and retain facts. When he grows up, he wants to become a professor so he can pass his knowledge onto others. One of his favorite people is Albert Einstein, whom he loves to quote as saying, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” Zee says if he could live anywhere in the world he would live here… “Because this place is good enough already.”

We’re lucky you live here Zee, although, we believe-just like you do, that there is another planet out there just waiting to be discovered…

Planet Zee

By Courtney Kotloski

Not so long ago on the Planet of Zee, a collision of two forces; one Light and one Dark started an epic battle to defend the imagination of children everywhere.

Plant Zee was full of knowledge, passion and the positivity of the children who lived there and each day their ideas made the Dark side grow weaker. The Dark side, from Planet Dulldrum, was filled with boring, bleak inhabitants that believed machines were more powerful than human minds. The people gave off a strong odor making the eyes of their enemy’s sting.

Without the people of Plant Zee knowing, Captain Hum Drum created a hidden base at the edge of the Zee where he planned to use his ultimate weapon, The BLAH, to suck the life force and imagination out of the children who lived there.

But, what Hum Drum didn’t know is that Zelalem, the creator and ultimate defender of Zee had a weapon of his own that could outsmart and defeat the enemy; The Imaginatorium Splendito Saber that was filled with the thoughts, ideas, creations and positive energy of his people.

As the eyes of the people of Zee began to sting from the stench of the invaders, Zelalem knew the enemy had penetrated the border. There on the edge of Zee, the two commanders met face to face.

Striking first, Captain Hum Drum, poured a dark cloud of BLAH over the city, and just as it started to take shape Zelalem, pulled out the Imaginatorium Splendito Saber and sliced the cloud in half, turning darkness into light that stretched out over the galaxy.

“Be gone, Hum Drum! And take your BLAH with you!” Captain Zelalem bellowed.

“How can this be?” Hum Drum shouted in disbelief. “You’re people don’t have machines! Thoughts and ideas shouldn’t beat the BLAH!”

“You’ll never learn, Hum Drum. Ideas create machines. My people will always be more powerful because they use their imagination and knowledge to create positive things.”

And with that Hum Drum had to accept defeat.

Planet Zee is thriving today, you can even see it if you close your eyes. It’s as far out as your imagination can go and then just a little bit further…
